Hazel Feeney, is a sculptor who lives near La Rochelle on the west coast of France. She is fascinated by the shapes, spaces and curves formed by the human body. Her ceramic sculptures are made by hand. She can never reproduce exactly the same shape or glaze twice and does not use a potter's wheel", which makes each of her works unique.

 

What Hazel particularly likes when she creates a work is the peace, tranquility and happiness that it brings her. It also gives her a certain freedom, without schedule or constraints "I am free to work on all the ideas of sculptures, at any time of the day or night. I love this spontaneity. The result of her work is very touching.

 

As a spectator of the work, we participate in a moment of life that is ultimately very intimate, like a hug between a mother and her child, a family reunion or a moment of reflection.

 

One of her greatest achievements? Having exhibited in the Ching Gallery in Taipei City, Taiwan!
